Twirling Unlimited Savings Bond (Award Turn-In) Program
The award turn-in program is open to any group or individual entering any Twirling Unlimited competition. At every TU competition, groups/individuals may choose to “turn in” any trophies or medals received for 1st through 3rd place in any event. Contestants in Novice, Beginner and Intermediate events may turn in their awards for credit toward registration at a TU summer camp or entry in the TU International competition. Contestants in advanced events may choose to turn in their awards for credit toward camp registration, entry in TUI or credit towards a savings bond purchase. Groups may turn in their awards for credit toward entry in TUI or camp registration for any group members.
Process:
After receiving an award, a contestant or group choosing to turn in that award brings it to the person at the awards table and then fills out their information (full name, full event, place received) on the designated paper on the clipboard at the table. Credits for the awards turned in will be recorded for each contestant/group and a running tally is kept by TU headquarters. Individuals can earn either credit or bonds depending on event level, while groups may only earn credit.
Restrictions/Guidelines:
*Awards must be turned in the day of the competition. Awards from previous competitions cannot be accepted.
*Medals for individual parts of a pageant or trophies for preliminary rounds of Regional or International Solo are not eligible for turn-in.
*Regardless of awards given, credits are not available for any places lower than 3rd.
*If credits are not used by the end of July, the amounts are rolled over to the next year.
