PLEASE NOTE: Please check entry deadline if you wish to avoid a late entry fee!

 

  ENTRY GUIDELINES:

We will not accept any phone entries on Friday for that weekend's competition(s).    If you have not entered a contest by Thursday (2 or3 days ahead), you must wait and pay the late entry fee AT the competition.  

 

- Solo & Duet Dance events, Solo & Duet Show Routine, Solo Dance Twirl, Solo & Duet Pom, Solo & Duet Color Guard:  

After Monday (5:00 pm) before the competition, entries for solo events with individual music will only be accepted for "comments only" (no awards) and they will be placed at the end of the prepared performance order

 

Group Events:  Entries for group events will be cut off on  Monday (5:00 pm) before the competition.   NO entries for group events will be accepted after that (including the day of contest)

 

MAILING Deadlines:

  Open contests: 14 days before competition

Regional contests:  16 days before competition

 

PHONE, FAX  & Online Deadlines:

Open contests:  Wednesday (10 days ahead)

(Note: "No Shows" who do not notify us by Thursday before the contest will be charged a $10 processing fee.)

No group entries accepted by phone. 

 

TU Headquarters is NOT open on Friday afternoons or weekends!

All  REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS (like all TU competitions) are open to everyone.  They are not restricted by geographic residence or organizational affiliation.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: We do NOT cancel any competitions - unless the roads are closed by the Highway Patrol.  
If this is necessary, we will put a notice on the front page of the TU website.

 

ONLINE ENTRY SYSTEM IS AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS  AND INDIVIDUALS!

You will see a "message submitted" screen immediately when you click the "submit" button and you will get a confirmation e-mail when your entry is received.

Please print the e-mail confirmation as a record of events entered and proof of entry submission.

 IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN E-MAIL CONFIRMATION WITHIN 48 BUSINESS HOURS, THEN WE DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR ENTRY!

Note:  Online entries accepted for open contests only (no Regional or International events accepted online)

 

NOTE:  GROUP coaches:  If you submitted an entry for group events  (for any competition) and have not received an order of performance via e-mail

by TUESDAY evening before the competition, please call the office to verify that your entry  has been received!

No brochures are available for competitions marked tentative.
Additional contests may  be scheduled - watch the calendar for future developments!

 

 

Note:  A system of flexible awards is used at all TU open contests.

  This means that the number of awards presented increases as the number of contestants increases as follows:

3 or less contestants:  1st trophy, 2nd and 3rd rosettes or medals

4-7 contestants:  1st & 2nd trophies, 3rd rosette or medal

8-10 contestants:  1st, 2nd, 3rd trophies

11-14 contestants:  1st, 2nd, 3rd trophies, 4th, 5th rosettes or medals

15-20 contestants:  5 trophies

21-25 contestants, 6 trophies
